Madrid's "Real" midfielder Isco revealed that he is close to extending his contract with the Spanish champions.
These are bad news for many English clubs interested in him, who had hopes of luring the Spaniard, as he did not appear in Zinedine Zidane's future plans.
However, the 25-year-old player performed excellently this season and gained more confidence.
"I have already said that we are close to extending the contract," Isco told Teledeporte. "I am very happy in Madrid and hope to stay there for many more years."
"Now is the time to rest, as the season was very long."
Isco, who started in the starting lineup in the UEFA Champions League final, played 42 matches in all competitions this year, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists.
