Island rented a plane for 140 thousand pounds sterling to see the team

Today, even more Icelanders are arriving in France to watch the historic match. It is reported that one Icelander rented a "Boeing 737" plane so that he and 180 Icelandic national team fans could fly to Nice to watch the quarterfinal match.

Gretar Sigfinnur Sigurdarson will pay £140,000 to rent the plane. The plane will fly Icelandic fans to Nice, and immediately after the match, they will return to Reykjavik.

About his adventure, the Icelander posted on social media: "I have a plane for 180 people to fly to Nice. We return home the same day. We depart early in the morning and return late at night."

Sigurdarson's friends and random fans will each pay £750 for the chance to be in Nice. It is believed that around 8,000 fans will support Iceland in Nice.

The clash between England and Iceland will begin at 10pm.
