The coronavirus pandemic not only disrupted the schedule of the football season, but it will also significantly change the summer transfer window. The English Premier League announced on Wednesday that the transfer window should open immediately after the end of the season – on July 27. It is planned that players will be able to change clubs for 10 weeks – until November 5. Another innovation is planned in England – from October 5 to October 16, Premier League clubs will be able to make deals with teams from lower leagues. During this period, no deals between two Premier League clubs will be allowed. This is especially relevant for Premier League clubs that loan some of their players to lower league teams. FIFA will still have to approve this whole Premier League plan.
