Dortmund's "Borussia" shook the football world on Sunday when they announced the acquisition of Norwegian talent Erling Braut Haaland.
The 19-year-old striker shone brightly this season in the UEFA Champions League, scoring 8 goals in just 6 matches for "Salzburg."
It was almost certain that the Norwegian football gem would leave the Austrian team in January, but "Manchester United" was considered the main candidate to acquire the striker.
"Manchester Evening News" journalist Samuel Luckhurst reported that Manchester's team was deterred from acquiring E. B. Haaland due to demands from the player's agent Mino Raiola.
It is reported that the player's representative demanded the inclusion of a buyout clause in the contract, as well as wanting a share of the money if the club sells his client in the future.
These conditions did not satisfy the "Man Utd" club, which is now looking at other possible options. Among the contenders to move to Manchester is the "Lyon" striker Moussa Dembele.
