Due to the prolonged coronavirus pandemic, the current season of the English Premier League will finish this coming Sunday, and on Friday it was revealed how much time teams will have to prepare for the 2020-2021 season. It has been officially announced that the next season of the Premier League will start in the fall - on September 12th. It is clear that teams will have a more condensed schedule than usual, as the season will end on May 23rd. It is not yet clear when spectators will be able to return to the stadiums, but the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has been hoping for some time that it will be possible to do so as early as October.
