"Roma" team made a historic journey in the UEFA Champions League and brought unprecedented revenues to the club. UEFA presented a detailed financial overview of the last season and showed how much each of the 32 clubs earned from the tournament. Most notably, the tournament winner - Madrid's "Real" club - earned the most. The three-time European champion added 88.6 million euros to its bank account. Surprisingly, second place went not to the other finalist - "Liverpool" club - but to "Roma", which added 83.8 million euros to its coffers. In turn, the "Reds" collected a total of 81.2 million euros during the season. Turin's "Juventus" was not far behind, earning 80 million euros despite only reaching the quarterfinals. This amount is not a coincidence - the "old lady" earned as much as 48.9 million euros from broadcasting. In fifth place with 70.4 million euros remained Munich's "Bayern" club. The Bavarians finished their Champions League journey in the semifinals, losing to the champions from Madrid. The team that earned the least from the group stage was "Qarabag" club - 16.8 million euros. Not far behind them was Lisbon's "Benfica" - only 17.4 million euros in total.
