In the final of the Italian Cup, football fans did not witness the intrigue that could have been expected. After the break, the ignited Turin "Juventus" convincingly defeated the "AC Milan" football players.
In the first half, both teams were more focused on observation. The only dangerous opportunity in the first 45 minutes was when Patrick Cutrone's shot was saved by Gianluigi Buffon.
Nevertheless, after the break, "Juventus" demonstrated their true level. Already in the 56th minute, Mehdi Benatia directed the ball into the goal with his head.
And just five minutes later, Douglas Costa doubled the score.
But it didn't end there. In the 64th minute, Gianluigi Donnarumma made a serious mistake, and taking advantage of that, M. Benatia scored again.
The final blow to the "Milan" team's net - an own goal. Nikola Kalinić became the author of it.
For the "Juventus" team, this was the first title won this season. The Italian Cup was won by the "Juventus" team for the fourth consecutive time.
The "Milan" club had the opportunity to win their second trophy since the 2010-11 season. Back then, the "Milan" team triumphed in the "Serie A" championship, and in 2016, they added the Italian Supercup to their trophy shelf.
