During the Thursday evening Italian Cup eighth-final match in Turin, Juventus defeated Monza with a score of 2:1 at home.
Juve started the match excellently and took the lead in the 8th minute. After a high cross from Weston McKennie, Moise Kean headed the ball past the opponents' goalkeeper.
However, Monza's players did not give up and managed to equalize the score in the 24th minute. Mattia Valoti scored for the guests with a header after a corner kick.
Juventus secured the victory in the 78th minute, thanks to Federico Chiesa. The Italian sent the ball into the net with a great shot from outside the penalty area, making the score 2:1.
Monza could not find the strength to come back into the match once again and ended their journey in the Italian Cup at the eighth-final stage.
In the Italian Cup quarterfinals, Juventus will face Lazio away.
