On Friday, the European Football Championship started. In group A, the Italians won their first victory by defeating the Turks with a score of 3:0. The Italians controlled the game from the very beginning, but had to wait until the 17th minute for the first dangerous chance, when Lorenzo Insigne failed to take advantage of his opportunity. However, the first half ended goalless. The first goal of the match came in the 53rd minute when the Turkish national team defender Merih Demiral redirected the ball into his own goal. In the 66th minute, Ciro Immobile doubled the Italian lead, and L. Insigne scored in the 79th minute.
