Italians tempted by millions consider changing the format of the Supercup

Next Sunday, the clubs "Juventus" from Turin and "Lazio" from Rome will compete in Saudi Arabia for the Italian Super Cup, but in the future the current tournament format may change.

"Corriere dello Sport" wrote that in a year, not two, but four teams may compete for the prestigious trophy.

It is claimed that Italian football officials willing to make changes would significantly increase their accounts with Arab money.

The future tournament would take place like the battle for the Spanish Super Cup - two semi-finals and a final would be played.

For three matches, the Arabs pay the Spaniards 30 million euros, while the Italians receive "only" 7.5 million euros for the final.
