Italy achieved their fifth victory in the European Championship qualifiers

Italy is already one step away from the 2020 European Championship. Roberto Mancini's team, in the fifth round of qualifying, achieved another victory. The Italians defeated the Armenian national team playing at home with a score of 3:1. Armenians unexpectedly took the lead first, but already in the 28th minute, Andrea Belotti equalized. Furthermore, the hosts were left to play with ten men at the end of the first half, which had an impact in the second half. In the second half, the Italians had to work hard, but in the 77th minute Lorenzo Pellegrini broke the host's defense, and shortly after, A. Belotti scored his second goal to secure the victory. In Group J, Italy has won five out of five possible victories. The 2006 World Cup champions have 15 points, having scored 16 goals and conceding only two.
