Italy - "Milan" defeat, "Juventus" victory and impressive "Atalanta" draw with "Lazio" (VIDEO)

Today, seven "Serie A" matches were played. In the first of them, Verona's "Hellas" unexpectedly defeated Milan's footballers at home.

Gennaro Gattuso's players significantly controlled the ball longer and created more attacks, but the opponents were more precise in taking their chances, taking the lead in the 24th minute. Antonio Caracciolo scored after a corner.

In the second half, the "rossoneri" tried to increase the pace even more. However, before the hour mark, the result became 2-0 after Moise Kean's goal.

The guests from the "fashion capital" continued to miss opportunities to score, and finally eliminated all doubts about the outcome of the match after Daniel Bessa, who had previously assisted a goal, scored. Suso also received a red card.

After the first setback with the new coach, Milan will most likely sink even deeper into the middle of the tournament table, as "Hellas" climbed just above the relegation zone.

In one of the later matches, Turin's "Juventus" won against "Bologna" with the same result, surpassing Milan's "Inter" and rising to second place.

The strongest team of last season was immediately brought forward by a well-taken penalty by Miralem Pjanic, who also provided a precise assist to Mario Mandzukic before halftime.

The "Bianconeri" did not allow their opponents to create many chances, and in the second half, they sealed their victory by taking advantage of Filippo Helander's mistake through Blaise Matuidi.

It was a tougher match for Genoa's "Sampdoria," a team fighting for a spot in European competitions. They lost at home to "Sassuolo" footballers.

The opponents had a great opportunity to expand their lead in the 83rd minute, but Matteo Politano missed the penalty kick, and it seemed like the match would end goalless.

However, as the game was coming to an end, Alessandro Matri managed to score a winning goal, and the additional minutes did not change the final score.

Meanwhile, Florence's "Fiorentina" failed to overtake the defeated Milan, as they finished their match against "Genoa" in a 0-0 draw.

Finally, in the evening, Bergamo's "Atalanta" and Rome's "Lazio" clubs provided fans with a truly exciting football spectacle. The match ended in a draw with goals on both sides.

Playing at home, "Atalanta" took the lead in the 19th minute with a header from Mattia Caldara, and shortly after, Josip Ilicic's excellent strike made it 2-0.

Then, the visitors from the capital quickly responded, and their excellent form was demonstrated by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who scored a great long-range shot to equalize the score in the 35th minute.

Immediately after halftime, the scales tipped back in favor of the hosts as Bastosas fouled Alejandro Gomez in the penalty area. Ilicic once again put "Atalanta" ahead with a penalty kick.

The 70th minute could have been decisive, as Caldara scored again. However, the goal was disallowed, and the recovering "Lazio" players equalized when Felipe Caicedo provided a precise assist to Luis Alberto.

The match ended in a 3-3 draw. However, this result would not satisfy either team.
