Despite not qualifying for the second World Cup in a row, the Italian national team continues to play successfully in the Nations League. In Group 3 of League A, Roberto Mancini's players took first place after a 2-0 victory away against Hungary. In the 27th minute, Giacomo Raspadori scored to put the visitors from Italy ahead. In the 52nd minute, "Inter" defender Federico Dimarco doubled the score after a pass from Bryan Cristante. Italy's national team goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma also had a great game, stopping six Hungarian shots. After this victory, the Italians advanced to the final stage of the Nations League - the final four, which will take place in June 2023. The hosts of this tournament will be the Dutch national team. Hungary finished second in the group of survivors. Germany remained third, and England fourth.
