At a press conference, Jordi Alba expressed his joy that his teammate Lionel Messi signed a new contract, but could not avoid questions from journalists about recent accusations made by Real Madrid player Jose Callejon against the Argentine.
Last week, Jose Callejon accused Barcelona's leader of allegedly insulting Real Madrid's assistant coach Aitor Karanka and defender Alvaro Arbeloa.
Commenting on this situation, J. Alba was categorical: "L. Messi definitely did not call A. Karanka a 'puppet'. He did not insult Alvaro either. It seems like J. Callejon is saying what he 'saw' by himself."
"I don't want to get involved in meaningless discussions and I don't want to discuss it further because I have nothing to say," the Barcelona defender exclaimed.
According to the Catalan, after the first leg of the King's Cup semi-final ended in a 1-1 draw, L. Messi, together with all the team's players and coaching staff, went straight to the team bus and did not linger in the parking lot."
