"Barcelona" president Josep Bartomeu spoke about the fact that in the case of Catalonia's independence, the club would consider withdrawing from the "La Liga" championship.
On Sunday, a referendum was held on the separation of this region from Spain, but the Spanish government considers the vote illegal and even deployed riot police against the Catalans.
Due to these events, the match against "Las Palmas" was played in an empty stadium.
"Such a situation does not currently exist," Bartomeu said.
"However, considering what might happen in the future, the club's board would discuss it. It should be calmly analyzed."
"If we were to discuss this topic intensively, it is clear that we would find the best solution. However, if it happens (Catalonia's independence - ed. note), the club's board will decide everything."
Catalonia's Minister of Sport, Gerard Figueras, had already mentioned that "Barca" could move to the English Premier League. As an existing example, he mentioned Welsh representative "Swansea City".
