Jerome Boateng was in a car accident when he was returning to Munich after visiting his son in Leipzig. The Bayern player did not suffer any injuries according to the police.
As the player himself stated after the incident, his visit to Leipzig to see his son was not without reason - he was sick. "I accept the punishment. It was my fault that I did not inform the club about the trip, but at that moment I only thought about my son. When your son calls you, you think of nothing else but seeing him as soon as possible," said the defender. The fine that J. Boateng will pay for violating the rules will go to the hospital fund.
