"Sky Sports" analysts Jamie Carragher and Greame Souness believe that Jose Mourinho would be an ideal addition to the "Manchester United" club and the management team must do everything possible to ensure that the Portuguese is appointed this summer. Nevertheless, G. Souness believes that if "United" wanted Mourinho's services, they have already started the hunt for the strategist. "J. Mourinho is in an elite group of coaches who can do their job and whose presence would excite the fans. I think "United" has had some very poor spells and if the club wanted Jose, I think negotiations started a while ago," said G. Souness. "He has all the necessary qualifications. He is the right man, if you're looking for someone to come in and light a fire under a team that is not winning titles," he added. Meanwhile, J. Carragher believes that Mourinho's decision to remain jobless until the end of the season shows that he is still available and feels that "United" should take advantage of this opportunity. The former "Liverpool" midfielder also shared his thoughts that the "Red Devils" fans have already written off current manager Louis van Gaal: "I don't think Manchester United fans would want to see Louis van Gaal continue, even if he were to win the FA Cup and reach the top four," he said. "It's a very important decision. I think if "United" can get Mourinho, I would do it, because it would be an improvement for the whole team.
