For three years, Netherlands national team goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has been warming the bench as a backup at FC Barcelona, but this summer he will be looking for new career opportunities, although finding a new club will not be easy.
The 30-year-old footballer has previously confirmed that he wants to move to another team and become the first-choice goalkeeper. Barcelona does not intend to oppose this, but the price demanded for the goalkeeper has surprised even Cillessen himself.
According to reports, Barcelona will only sell him to clubs that activate the buyout clause in his contract - 60 million euros.
"This amount certainly does not help solve my situation," the Dutchman told AS newspaper. "I remain calm, we have to wait and see how everything will end. We will make a final decision after the holidays."
Jasper Cillessen has played 32 matches in the Barcelona team in three years.
