For several seasons in a row, the Paris "Saint Germain" team easily triumphed in the French championships, but this year the situation is completely different.
Feeling stronger competition from local teams, the Parisians are currently in second place, trailing leaders "Monaco" by three points.
PSG winger Julian Draxler praised the main competitors for gold, but still insisted that his team is the strongest in France.
"This season, the 'Monaco' team plays fantastically, representing several very talented young players.
But we are still the best team in the country. We have to prove that on the field, and we will start with the cup final this Saturday," said the German.
He was reminded once again of the crushing defeat in the Champions League against the "Barcelona" club.
"My teammates in the German national team asked what happened. I told them all that we played very poorly. 'Barcelona' is the best team in the world, of course, some of the referee's decisions didn't help us, but you can't blame the loss solely on the referee."
