Jonny Evans is hoping that when he returns to the "West Bromwich Albion" team next week, there will be no problems due to the failed transfer.
Representing Northern Ireland, the center-back was particularly interested in "Manchester City," "Leicester City," and London's "Arsenal" clubs, but all offers for him were rejected.
On the last day of the transfer window, the 29-year-old player calmly prepared for the match against San Marino, which the Northern Irish team won yesterday with a score of 3-0.
"I don't really know much about what happened because I was with the national team," Evans said.
"When you're in a hotel, you try to concentrate on that, and when I return, I'm sure I'll talk to the chairman and the manager. However, before leaving, I said, 'If something happens or doesn't happen, we will just accept it.'
"As a footballer, in many cases you don't know what's going on, and many things are just talk."
"We were not involved in the process, but our relationship remains good because it was a hypothetical situation. I just want to go back to what I was doing before and see what happens."
"I am a 'West Brom' player and captain. I talked about it last week and I am looking forward to returning and seeing the guys."
The team represented by Evans has started the new season brilliantly - they have secured seven points and currently hold the fifth position.
