The Portuguese footballer Joa Félix, who has been wanting to leave Atlético for some time, was loaned to Barcelona last season. Since the Catalans could not pay his high salary and Atlético refused to pay for his play in another team, it was decided to extend the contract with Atlético for another two years for a lower salary and to loan him to Barcelona for free.

The forward hoped to prove his worth and be purchased by Barcelona, but he did not shine and was returned to Madrid.

Marca reports that he is now one of the lowest-paid players at Atlético, and the club refuses to loan him again, agreeing to sell him only for 60 million euros. Since the clubs are unwilling to pay such an amount, J. Félix will have to return to Atlético and try to regain Diego Simeone's trust.
