"West Ham" club's unestablished 34-year-old European champion Jose Fonte will continue his career in the highest league in China.
"Hammers" stated on their official website that Chinese club "Dalian Yifang" has reached an agreement regarding the acquisition of the footballer.
The Portuguese national team defender joined "West Ham" in January of last year. During the season, the defender finished with 16 matches, but this season, due to various injuries and not very good sports form, he appeared on the field only eight times.
J. Fonte spent most of his career at "Southampton", where he played for seven years. Additionally, the defender has worn the jerseys of "Crystal Palace" and various Portuguese teams.
In the "Dalian Yifang" team, only three foreigners play - two Africans and one Croat.
