25-year-old Jack Grealish received his first start in the European Championship representing the England national team yesterday and surely did not disappoint England fans. Yesterday, the leader of "Aston Villa" was certainly outstanding, and he made an assist that resulted in the only goal of the match, scored by Raheem Sterling. After the match yesterday, J. Grealish was asked whether this championship will contribute significantly to his future as a player, and the Englishman replied: "Of course. I have already spoken about how important such tournaments are in a player's career. If you look at Gazza (Paul Gascoigne) in Italy in 1990, it was the first time when... well, of course, he was known before, but I think everyone remembers him best from that tournament. Then you look at the 2004 European Championship, at Wayne Rooney - then he already announced to everyone that he would be one of the best players in the world. I hope to follow in their footsteps and hope that I will do the same if I get the opportunity to perform in this European Championship," said J. Grealish.
