J. Guardiola: "Man Utd" always aimed for the title © JumpStory

Josep Guardiola hopes that today his pupils will demonstrate their mastery and knock out the "Man Utd" footballers who are in great athletic shape in the semi-final match of the "Carabao" Cup. According to the Catalan, he values his future opponents highly. "Man Utd" has always been a big club. When I was in charge of Barcelona, Munich's Bayern, and the current team, matches against the "Red Devils" were always important. Now it's a city derby, and for many decades "Man Utd" has been overshadowed by the "Cityzens". We are incredibly proud and honored that in the last decade we have been in such a position against them and have often won matches, although sometimes we have faced failures," said J. Guardiola, who also evaluated the upcoming opponents' performance in this season's Premier League. "This team has always been a title contender. Every year, when we start the season, 'United' aims to win trophies. Why that didn't happen is a question for them to answer. There is no difference playing against 'Man Utd' or another title contender."
