„Newcastle United“ forward Jonas Gutierrez has been discharged from the hospital after completing cancer treatment.
In September, the footballer announced that he was traveling to his native Argentina for treatment for testicular cancer.
The 31-year-old player had his left testicle removed and underwent a course of chemotherapy.
Gutierrez wrote on his Twitter account: „Today I was discharged from the hospital. Thank you very much to everyone who supported me during this time. Especially to my family, parents, brothers, godmother, and friends.“

Since joining „Newcastle“ from „Mallorca“ in 2008, Gutierrez has appeared on the pitch over 170 times.
