The main time of the quarterfinal match between Germany and Italy ended in a 1-1 draw. Joachim Low's players briefly took the lead after Mesut Ozil's goal, but with just over ten minutes left to play, Leonardo Bonucci successfully converted a penalty.
Neither team managed to score during extra time, so they had to settle the match with penalties.
"I knew that sooner or later I would have to take a shot, so I was very nervous," Hector said.
"It's hard to describe in words, but I am very happy that the shot went into the goal. There were not many people left after me."

In the EURO 2016 semifinals, Germany will face either Iceland or hosts France.
