Today, Munich's "Bayern" officially presented the return of coach Jupp Heynckes to the club, who will lead the team until the end of this season.
The 72-year-old football specialist has not worked as a coach since 2013, when he said goodbye to that same "Bayern". However, after Carlo Ancelotti was dismissed from the club, J. Heynckes extended a helping hand and temporarily took over the coach's role.
Today, the experienced coach was introduced at a press conference and had his first meeting with the team.
"Many of my former players from 'Bayern', 'Tenerife', 'Real', and 'Athletic' clubs congratulated me on this decision," the strategist mentioned about returning to football. "I do not overstate my return, it is just assistance for a certain moment."
"Carlo Ancelotti is a true gentleman and a wonderful coach. Any coach can face the same situation if something is not working within the team. I want my team to be united, players to play for each other and for success for this club. That is what I want to see from everyone," continued J. Heynckes.
J. Heynckes also revealed that during this time he has not been far from football and watched many international matches, and also mentioned which club currently impresses him the most.
"In recent years, I have been amazed by what my former club Madrid's 'Real' is doing. They have a great project and team, from which there is certainly something to learn," concluded the strategist.
