Today, the Champions League final will take place, with Bayern facing Dortmund's Borussia. The coach is convinced that if his players play as a team, they will triumph in this tournament.
"This is my last chance to win the Champions League trophy," said J. Heynckes. "Wembley is the home of English football. This stadium will have an amazing atmosphere, with the best footballers playing."
"I always try to think positively. I knew that my team could reach the final, I said that before the matches against Juventus and Barcelona," added the strategist.
For the 68-year-old coach, these will be the last matches as Bayern's coach, as he will be replaced by former Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola.
Throughout his coaching career, J. Heynckes has led clubs such as Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid, Benfica Lisbon, and Schalke Gelsenkirchen.
