The football club "Panevėžys" welcomed back another player who previously played for the team during the off-season – Justinas Januševiškis. A one-year agreement has been reached with the central defender, who defended the club's honor for two seasons.
For the first time, J. Januševiškis arrived in the capital of Aukštaitija before the 2020 season, having represented "Trakai" throughout his career before that, a team that later became Vilnius "Riteriai." With "Panevėžys," the defender has won the LFF Cup and the Super Cup once each.
After a stint in Panevėžys, J. Januševiškis moved to Marijampolė's "Sūduva," where he spent a year, and played for Gargždų "Banga" during the 2023–2024 seasons. With the latter club, the footballer competed for the LFF Cup for the second time. Additionally, at the beginning of last year, the player briefly belonged to the Albanian team Vlorë's "Flamurtari."
J. Januševiškis shared his thoughts with the fk-panevezys.lt website.
"My return to 'Panevėžys' was prompted by the club's interest in me. During the years I spent with other clubs, the 'Panevėžys' team made significant progress. The club sets high goals every year, and the desire to return to European competitions motivated me to come back to the team."
"I would like to thank 'Banga' for the two seasons, as I was able to contribute to the historic club's journey and win its first trophy. My goal is to help the 'Panevėžys' team achieve its set objectives," J. Januševiškis said.
"Panevėžys" will begin preparations for the 2025 season on January 6.
