J. Klopp hit back at J. Mourinho: "A better team lost" © AFP

On Wednesday in the English Premier League, a clash of leaders took place, in which in the final minutes Liverpool defeated Tottenham players. Immediately after the match, cameras caught Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp briefly discussing something, and the details of this conversation were later revealed by the Tottenham manager himself. "I told Klopp that the better team lost, but he didn't agree with that. Of course, he can have his own opinion. If I acted the way Klopp did towards the touchline during the match, I would instantly end up in the stands. I don't know why, but referees look at me differently than at my opponents," Mourinho discussed with Amazon. Later, giving an interview to BBC, the Portuguese coach claimed that his players controlled the course of the match. "We controlled the entire match. I think we truly didn't deserve such a result, but that's football for you. During the break, we had to tweak certain aspects of the game a bit, but I am very satisfied with the team's performance throughout the match. In the second half, we wanted to find more opportunities for counterattacks and it worked out well for us until Giovani Lo Celso received a yellow card. Liverpool was putting immense pressure on the referees, so, to avoid bigger problems, I had to take him out of the game. I'm not one to talk about opponents, but this time their actions left me no other choice," added the Portuguese.
