J. Klopp: I Had a Good Conversation with Coutinho

"Liverpool" coach Jurgen Klopp revealed that he had a great conversation with the team's star Philippe Coutinho.

The 25-year-old footballer wanted to move to "Barcelona" during the summer, as the club tried to fill the gap left by Neymar, but the "Reds" refused to sell the Brazilian.

Now the attacking midfielder has returned to team training after the international break and looks great in them, although he won't play against "Manchester City" this weekend.

"I know what people think, but Phil had a problem with his back a few weeks ago and couldn't train. So, he missed about three weeks," Klopp told the "Liverpool" website.

"Yes, he went to the national team and trained normally, but now we have to prepare for the normal season, so we have seven games (until the next international break - ed.). We watched the training this morning and thought 'Well, maybe we should let him onto the pitch right away' because he looked very good, but that wouldn't be smart."

"Now we have to continue working on preparing for the season, but not for too long, after a few sessions we have to give ourselves more time, because we play seven games next month."

"We always have to make the same decision 'Does he need training, or can he play?' and similar things. Yes, now he will work a little more than the other guys, but he seemed to be in a very good mood and looked very promising."

Klopp also answered questions about the mentioned conversation: "Of course, everything is fine, everything is good. Actually, there is nothing more to say, he returned and we had a really good conversation, so everything is good."

Coutinho, who had requested to be sold earlier, scored 13 goals and made seven assists in 31 "Premier League" matches last season.
