Jurgen Klopp categorically denies that Mohamed Salah's provoked 11-yard penalties are staged, as in the strategist's opinion there are simply no such people in his team.
Liverpool played against London's Arsenal and earned two 11-yard penalties, one of which was specifically earned by M. Salah. The same Egyptian also earned an 11-yard penalty in the match against Newcastle, which also raised doubts.
"Does blood need to be spilled for a penalty kick to be awarded? I think not," the German representative told journalists.
"At that moment (against Arsenal), if no one had touched Mo, he would have taken one more step and taken the shot. As we all know, he is really good at that. So, we have such situations.
"I have no idea what happened, but the referee was definitely close to that episode. We don't have players in our team who simulate fouls, and that penalty kick was certainly not a simulation.
"The second penalty earned by Lovren also was not a simulation. Referees make such decisions. Over the past three and a half years, we have faced situations where we did not receive penalties even though they really were," added J. Klopp.
