J. Klopp on the newcomer: "He's a player who plays for the team"

Jurgen Klopp can't wait to start working with the team's newcomer from Japan.

Liverpool confirmed on Thursday that they acquired 24-year-old versatile winger Takumi Minamino from Salzburg for a relatively symbolic sum.

J. Klopp will get to know the team's newcomer better next week, as the team is currently participating in the FIFA Club World Cup.

"Unbelievable news," J. Klopp said after the official announcement. "This is a fantastic reinforcement for the team. We are extremely happy."

"Our fans have already had the opportunity to see him up close, so I don't think there is a need to talk loudly about his abilities on the field. We already know everything.

Takumi is very fast, intelligent, and a player who finds space on the field excellently. He plays confidently both with and without the ball, he is a true team player. He does everything that is best for others.

His experience in the Champions League is also a big plus. He comes from a great organization, where he worked with elite coaches and was surrounded by a fantastic environment," added the strategist.
