J. Klopp: "We hoped for a different result, but a tie is not bad either"

A highly anticipated duel between "Liverpool" and Munich's "Bayern" teams disappointed in terms of content - the 90-minute battle ended goalless.

"Liverpool" made huge efforts in attack, but the well-organized defense of "Bayern" gave no chances to the home team.

As Jurgen Klopp said after the match, they dreamt of a completely different result, but a goalless draw is not a bad result before the second leg.

"I'm not over the moon, but the result is quite decent," said J. Klopp after the match. - We made it difficult for our opponents with the final passes, creating 10 or 12 dangerous situations. Of course, we could have played much better."

"In the first half, we had more chances. I couldn't remember a single dangerous opportunity that both teams created in the second half of the game. It wasn't the most beautiful Champions League night," the strategist admitted, acknowledging the rather poor quality of the match.

"Liverpool" faced "Bayern" without Virgil van Dijk, but J. Klopp praised how the duo of Fabinho and Joel Matip performed in defense.

"We didn't concede a goal without our main man - van Dijk. Not many people expected that from us. We defended really well, there were quite a few positive things," added the German.
