J. Kloppas about Champions League spells: this is fate

"Liverpool" coach Jurgen Klopp believes that the return of Mercyside club to the "Stadio Olimpico" will give them inspiration to repeat history.

In the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, the "reds" will have to battle against "Roma". Thanks to such draws, they also managed to avoid both Madrid's "Real" and Munich's "Bayern".

The road to the final seems to be open for the Englishmen, and added to their current rise is the fact that "Liverpool" has won two European Cup finals in 1977 and 1984 precisely in the Italian capital.

"I will definitely be watching them, as it is fate", said Klopp. "If any German goes to Bern in Switzerland, he can't avoid thoughts about 1954."

"There are not many people left on earth who were alive then, but now it's just a special place. You think 'Well, this happened here, well done, guys'.

"Those "Liverpool" teams were great, but they became great in such situations and now people say 'They did it just like that'. It's good to have authorities, but ultimately you have to do everything your way."

"Thank God, Roma is still Roma. It's a place, not what someone did, it's a place. I love our history, but you can't constantly compare."

Klopp wants to write a new "Liverpool" history.

"As someone said, we must write our story. The legends we all love are still here and applaud us because they like it", added the coach.

"Kenny Dalglish is over the moon and completely fired up. Talking about Steven Gerrard and all the guys among them, you can feel and see it. It's great."

"Now everything depends on attitude, character, and similar things. You have to stay hungry and want to take another step. When everything is so fantastic, the first step is to stop being fantastic and become angry. There's a lot to fight for, and it will never disappear."

The first encounter between "Liverpool" and "Roma" will take place on April 24th. "
