"Liverpool" journey towards a long-awaited dream continues - the "Reds" defeated London's "Chelsea" on Sunday and continued the fight for the "Premier" League title.
"Man City" has played one less game, so technically they have a point advantage over "Liverpool". However, the "citizens" still have to play against "Man Utd" and "Tottenham", so the "Reds" hope that their closest opponents will lose crucial points that will be decisive at the end of the season.
"Liverpool" dealt fairly comfortably with the players of "Chelsea". According to Jurgen Klopp, they controlled the game for about 80 minutes, but in the remaining ten, sad things could have happened.
"As I said before, the best answer in football is hard work. The work done today by our attacking trio was simply incredible," Klopp said after the match.
"Chelsea" is a top-level team. You cannot defend against such a team without your attacking players. All the guys did a fantastic job. That's why they were later rewarded," the manager continued.
"Except for the 10 minutes when "Chelsea" changed the system and Alisson saved our lives, we controlled and dominated for 80 minutes. That is the best I can say about the match against "Chelsea".
Those 10 minutes were very dangerous. One goal could have changed everything. We were lucky that they hit the crossbar, and later Alisson saved us twice. After that, we calmed down again and began to control the game.
Our performance was really fantastic. The atmosphere and the result, which is particularly important to us, were even better," added the German.
