"Liverpool" coach Jurgen Klopp is determined next season to challenge the "Manchester City" team in the "Premier" league.
Pep Guardiola's players lead the Merseyside club by 17 points and have already secured the title of champions, but in the UEFA Champions League the "red" team was stronger.
However, "Liverpool" also defeated the "city dwellers" once in the English championships, so looking ahead to the upcoming season, things don't seem bad.
"Of course, I am not afraid of this challenge. This year, if 'City' had played a normal season, which they didn't, it would have been a very tense battle until the end, because now we are all close to each other", - said Klopp.
"United" is ahead of us by four points, "Tottenham" is behind by maybe two. There is a real fight for all positions.
"The whole big picture going into the season looked good in essence, but 'City' looked the best. It's hard to accept success, as it is difficult with other things in football, but I am pretty sure that they will be strong again."
"Life is not made easier, but taking another step higher is not impossible.""
Klopp knows what was lacking for his students this year.
"The difference between us and 'City' did not appear in the matches against them, it appeared in other matches", - added the German.
"Because of a few points we lost, we were a bit unlucky, but other points were our own responsibility and we must work on that."
