The head coach of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, shared his thoughts yesterday evening with Jordan Henderson and Virgil van Dijk ahead of the UEFA Champions League final.
Both Real Madrid and Liverpool participated in the final training session before the crucial clash in Kiev. J. Klopp joked several times during the press conference and smilingly stated that this will be one of the worst finals.
When asked by a journalist if he didn't think his opponent, Zinedine Zidane, is a strong tactician, J. Klopp just laughed: "Many people say the same about me. Imagine what this final will be like - two tactically clueless coaches meeting. What should that say about football?"
However, J. Klopp later became serious: "We will play against one of the best teams in the world. I don't think there are any teams that can match Real in terms of squad quality. Even if we replace key players with substitutes, the results won't worsen.
I think we are in good sporting shape ourselves. We had enough time to rest and prepare. The good news is that our bench strength (the return of Emre Can - ed.) is better than it was a week ago."
The biggest match of the season will start tomorrow at 9:45 p.m.
