J. Kloppas: "Kompany should have been driven off the field"

"Liverpool" team's absolute dominance in the English Premier League was ended on Thursday - "Manchester City" for the first time this season forced the "Reds" team to make a mistake.

Even after losing, the "Liverpool" team remains the favorite in the title race - they still have a four-point advantage over "Man City."

Jurgen Klopp says he can accept this failure, but he was bothered by the episode when Vincent Kompany fouled Mohamed Salah. According to the strategist, a red card should have been shown in this episode, which would have essentially changed the course of the match.

"I really like Kompany, but how was that not a red card?" - Klopp commented on the episode. - He was the last man that had to be beaten by Mo. If Mo had been hit directly in the legs, it could have been the end of his season."

Later, talking about the match itself, Klopp added that such losses can happen because it is impossible to dominate absolutely throughout the season.

"Our expectations are very high. We can play better, but we have to accept what is. You cannot dominate in every match. Today we were unlucky in converting our chances, more than the "Man City" team," - added Klopp.

"Liverpool" will play their next match on Monday against "Wolves."
