Jurgen Klopp believes that the results of Manchester City's team in Europe do not change the fact that they are currently the best team in the world.
Despite the fact that Pep Guardiola's army has been winning titles in England for several years in a row, both the coach and the team are criticized for their performances in the UEFA Champions League tournament.
When asked how Liverpool feels being the best team in the world, J. Klopp replied: "We cannot be the best team in the world when Manchester City is. We play on the same planet."
Liverpool will start their Champions League season as winners for the first time since 2005. When asked if this will put additional pressure on the team, the German said he does not know, as they have not faced this before.
"We do not feel the burden of champions. The last time we were champions was a long time ago. I can't say if the teams against us will play differently now. I have never won the Champions League before, but I think we are perfectly prepared," added J. Klopp.
The "Reds" will start their journey in the Champions League on Tuesday evening - they will face Napoli at their stadium.
