Jurgen Klopp categorically denied any rumors about the acquisition of Lorenzo Insigne.
There have been reports in the Italian media that the 27-year-old winger is considering a career change. Except for short-term loan agreements, he has never left "Napoli," but now he is starting to think about it.
Liverpool has been named as a possible favorite to acquire the Italian, who reportedly fits J. Klopp's player profile.
While "Napoli" might be willing to part ways with the player, clubs will have to meet his price. The fact that the Italian still has a three-year contract in place is deterring potential buyers.
"We will not buy him," said J. Klopp immediately. "He is a great footballer, but he has a long-term contract with 'Napoli.' We won't even try."
L. Insigne has played 38 matches this season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists.
