J. Kloppas: "We played against Messi, so I'm not surprised by the result"

UEFA Champions League semi-final match between Barcelona and Liverpool teams, Lionel Messi put on an impressive performance.

Liverpool played a majority of the game with quality and aggressive football, yet it all ended with the English team leaving Barcelona with a 0:3 defeat, with the most painful blows delivered to them by none other than L. Messi.

The Argentine and global football star scored two goals in the 75th and 82nd minutes, increasing the lead to three.

L. Messi's performance even made Liverpool's coach Jurgen Klopp take off his cap. "It is totally clear that at such moments Lionel is simply unstoppable," admitted J. Klopp.

You cannot stop him by committing fouls. His first goal wasn't the most beautiful, but once again it showed his abilities. However, I am satisfied with how we defended as a team, not just talking about Messi. We tried, the players competed well, showed quality football. Yet Leo is a top-class player and I am not surprised by what happened here," affirmed the 51-year-old Klopp.

Meanwhile, Messi himself enjoyed the second half of the match and stated that he is satisfied with his team's performance.

"We got involved in Liverpool's fast, physically demanding football. We are not used to opponents controlling the ball for so long, so this victory cost us more than usual. Nevertheless, from what we had, we achieved a great result," claimed the Argentine.
