The new "Liverpool" strategist Jurgen Klopp urged fans to forget all doubts and demonstrate faith in the team.
The former Borussia Dortmund coach, who replaced Brendan Rodgers, admitted that there is a negative atmosphere surrounding the club, but he intends to change it.
Klopp is determined to make the fans forget the impressive history of the team and focus on success in the future.
"First of all, we need to talk to all LFC (Liverpool - Eurofootball) fans about the hopes placed in us," the German specialist told LFCTV. "This can be a big problem."
"Running with a twenty-kilo backpack is not so enjoyable. We need to discuss this and then we can start."
"The LFC family is a bit too nervous and pessimistic. They all enjoy the matches and the stadium atmosphere is great, but they don't believe."
"They talk about what was five, ten, twenty years ago. Yes, it was great, but it's great just to remember. Now, if we want to, we have the opportunity to write a new story."
"We need to clarify a few things and maybe we can do it in the next few weeks to be as successful as possible. I'm not saying that this year will be the most successful in LFC history, but if it happens, we can celebrate. If not, we'll have to work."
"Message to Liverpool fans? We must change from doubters to believers... Immediately."
