Slovak national team coach Jan Kozak says that his players can challenge any team.
This was demonstrated by yesterday's result against the English, when the Slovaks played a 0-0 draw.
The point earned allowed them to take third place in Group B and greatly improve their chances of advancing to the quarterfinals.
"We gave everything to reach the next stage," said Kozak. "In the first half, we faced a more attacking team. I think they held onto the ball well."
"Later, the pressure from the opponents increased and we adapted. When Alli and Kane entered the field, I had to react, so I sent Gyomber and Skriniar in."
"Kozacik played excellently, but so did the whole team."
"We played a draw with England in the European Championship - that is something fantastic."
"We proved that we can fight against anyone and secured our position."
