The Lithuanian national team will play their last match of the year the day before yesterday.

From 6 pm, Edgaras Jankauskas' team will meet the local team in a friendly match in Cyprus. The live broadcast will be available on the VIAPLAY platform.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, national team player Justas Lasickas assured that they are expecting a tough battle against a highly motivated opponent.

"We know they will be motivated. The coach has mentioned several times that we need to consider who they have played against. They have gained good experience and will surely want to achieve a good result against us," the player said.

He was also asked to compare the new stadiums in Kaunas and Limassol, but he responded with a smile to such a question.

"I hope Vilnius will be the most beautiful. I, as a Vilnius native, hope Vilnius will be the most beautiful," he joked.

J. Lasickas also added that, despite the friendly status of these matches, there will be little friendliness in them.

"Let's remember our previous friendly matches with Greece, where Arvydas (Novikovas - ed.) gets injured in the first attack against the opponent, and by the 20th minute he is already asking for a substitution, and I play with a swollen head.

Such are those friendly matches at the international level. As the coach mentioned, there will be nothing friendly, a tough battle awaits," the player said.
