On Thursday, England's head coach Gareth Southgate announced the team for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches. Joining the national team for the first time since 2019 is Jesse Lingard, who moved to "West Ham United" in January. The 28-year-old Englishman has been playing in the Premier League in a very solid form and is helping the "Hammers" aim for a place in European tournaments. Another player receiving his first chance to participate in the England national team camp is Ollie Watkins, a shining forward at "Aston Villa".
