Mateo Kovacic is determined - he wants to leave the Madrid "Real" club this summer.
As reported by "Marca," the 24-year-old midfielder briefly visited the "Real" training center on Friday and talked to Julen Lopetegui.
The Croatian midfielder did not convince the new team coach - the player indicated that it would be best for him to leave Madrid and seek playing time in another team.
Many clubs are interested in M. Kovacic, but "Real" does not want to easily let go of the talented player. It is believed that "Real" has already asked for 85 million euros for him, but the mentioned publication acknowledges that the club will ultimately reduce the Croatian's price to 50 million euros.
M. Kovacic himself wants to leave "Real" because in three years he has not been able to become a starting lineup player - his position is taken by Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
It was long thought that M. Kovacic would become the successor of his compatriot in the "Real" club, but L. Modric's age is not a sign that he could be displaced from the starting positions in the coming years.
In total, the former "Inter" midfielder played 109 matches and scored three goals in the "white" team over three seasons.
