J. Lopetegui is still not fired from "Real" because the club is not sure about his successor

"Real" Madrid is going through arguably the biggest crisis in the club's history - the "Whites" have not won a single game in their last five matches and only scored their first goal after more than seven hours of gameplay.

It is normal that three consecutive Champions League defeats do not satisfy such results. In the Spanish media, the image of Julen Lopetegui is already being portrayed on the main pages - the coach is already facing dismissal from his coaching duties.

The leadership of Madrid "Real" has already started to consider Lopetegui's dismissal after the failure in the UEFA Champions League against CSKA Moscow. As if that wasn't enough, four days after those matches, they suffered another defeat against Alaves, which further infuriated Florentino Perez.

However, the Spanish media notes that even with very poor results, J. Lopetegui still has a chance to stay. According to "Cadena COPE", there was a 15-minute meeting between Perez and Lopetegui after the match against "Levante". From both reactions, it was clear that Perez had not yet instructed the coach to pack his things.

It is all due to one reason - Real Madrid is not sure who should replace J. Lopetegui in that position. The Italian media mentions Antonio Conte as the main candidate, but the club's leadership is doubtful whether he is the right style of coach for the team.

Among the possible candidates are names like Leonardo Jardim, Arsene Wenger, Michael Laudrup, and Guti, but there is still uncertainty within the leadership.

It is likely that J. Lopetegui will still keep his job, but if he does not achieve a victory on Tuesday against Viktoria Plzen or on Sunday against "Barcos", the coach will be shown the door.
