J. Lopetegui: "We weren't as bad as the match result shows"

Julen Lopetegui had to swallow another bitter pill in Russia - Madrid's "Real" suffered a blow from Moscow's CSKA in their eleventh meeting.

In the UEFA Champions League group stage, the three-time tournament champion was defeated 0:1 by the CSKA team. Madrid's "Real" dominated almost the entire match, but one mistake at the beginning of the match determined the failure.

"Less than 10 days ago we beat "Roma", and today we lost. This shows that there are no invincible teams," J. Lopetegui said at the press conference.

"We are not as bad as it may seem. In football, there are situations where the game or the match scenario is completely opposite."

For Madrid's "Real" team, the match in Moscow was the third in a row where the team failed to score a goal. This is the worst streak the club has recorded since the 2006-07 season.

"We have to keep trying to score. If we create as many opportunities as today, goals will come sooner or later. I have no doubt that goals will bring victories."

"Today was not easy, but we have to forget about it and focus on the match against "Alaves"," added the coach.
