The German national team showed its strength. Joachim Low's disciples quickly recovered after losing to the English in a friendly match (2:3) and left no hope for the Italian team - 4:1.
The world champions had not defeated the Italians since 1995.
"It's been a long time since we played against them like this. We played smartly, defended confidently, and scored productive attacks. We looked great," said Low.
"My disciples immediately fulfilled the set tasks accurately.
In the match against the English, we were leading 2:0, but then we lost concentration and had to learn a bitter lesson.
Today, we maintained the maximum level of concentration throughout the entire match," Low rejoiced.
